Kris Bernal pranks fiance with missing engagement ring in new vlog

Kris Bernal tried to give her fiance Perry Choi a scare by pretending that she lost their engagement ring.

According to the actress, the prank was “believable” since Perry knows her to be someone who puts her things just anywhere.

“Alam ni Perry na hindi talaga ako bumibili ng jewelries kasi alam niya kung saan-saan ko lang malalapag. At the same time, nasa labas ako so iisipin niya talaga naiwan ko somewhere,” she said.

Kris also sees this as a “test” to their relationship since her partner never gets mad at her and true to what she said, Perry handled the situation calmly.

Breaking the news to him, Perry just told her to check again with the people in her location earlier. If they didn’t see it then there is nothing else they could do.

“Swerte na ng nakakuha, sangla na nila, may pera na sila,” he said.

Channeling her talent in acting, Kris cried real tears while apologizing to make it more convincing.

“Ako na magbabayad. ‘Wag na natin paalam ta’s bili nalang tayo ng kapareho,” Kris suggested, to which Perry declined.

According to Perry, it wouldn’t make sense to buy a new one since the meaning won’t be the same.

Although hurt by what happened, Perry assured Kris that he still loves and will marry her. He also reminded her to take care of her belongings, especially the special ones.

“Ingatan mo yung mga ganung bagay. Dapat conscious ka,” he said.

In the end, Kris gave in and revealed that she was just pranking him by asking for new jewelry.

“‘Pag bumili ka ng bago, samahan mo ng necklace atsaka earrings. Pina-prank lang kita. Suot ko yung singsing ko,” she said.

Kris and Perry got engaged on February 6, 2020 and are currently working on their dream house. Initially setting their wedding date in May this year, the couple haven’t made any specific plans yet given the current health crisis. —Francesca Viernes/JCB, GMA News
