Joyce Pring after 1 year as Mrs. Triviño: 'Pipiliin ko si Juancho a million times over'

A year has passed since Joyce Pring and Juancho Triviño exchanged I do's, and what a ride it's been.

The night before revealing that they were expecting their first baby on February 9, Mr. and Mrs. Triviño took to social media to exchange deeply personal messages for each other after one year of marriage.

Joyce began by saying that even though their relationship had not been perfect and their first year of marriage had not been easy, she believes that each fight had only brought them closer.

“Our relationship isn’t perfect, and our first year of married life certainly wasn’t easy. Did we rush to this decision? Were we really ready, or did we go before God? So many moments that challenged us pushed me to ask these questions,” she wrote.

“But with every huge fight, every thrown inanimate object out of frustration, every sleepless night tossing lonely in our bed, came a lesson, a blessing, a stretching, a sanctification - that drew us closer to God & closer to each other," she added.

Joyce also recalled how others had cast doubts on their marriage, but stressed that she would still choose Juancho a million times over.

“I have never met a married couple who told us it’d be easy. Some even said ‘sure ba kayo?!’ in their most discouraging tone. But after one year, I can honestly say that yes, may mga araw po na hindi kami sure kung alam namin tong ginagawa namin, pero isang bagay ang sigurado ako: pipiliin ko si Juancho, a million times over - to marry him, choose him, love him, take care of him, annoy him, be quarantined with him, do life with him and no one else - because I know he is God’s best for me, and I for him,” she said.

“Even on the hardest days - ESPECIALLY on the hard days - I knew I made the right choice. And I knew that even if the tides get bigger, and the difficult nights drag longer from here on out, my confidence lies in Jesus’ love for US, that we will be able to love and choose each other, no matter what happens,” she added.

Juancho on the other hand began his message by recalling the moment Joyce "made his dreams come true."

"Grabe ang bilis ng oras, parang kelan lang, pinoproblema ko yung nerbyos ko dahil alam kong hindi ko kakayanin na makita siya mag lakad papunta sakin na naka wedding dress, looking as beautiful as ever, 365 days later, here we are - about to start a new year of both hardships and triumphs," he wrote.

Juancho said he felt "emotional" and "blessed" to have been able to wake up beside both his best friend and the love of his life every single day.

"As I am writing this caption, I feel emotional because for the past year, I have been blessed enough to wake up beside my bestfriend and the love of my life each and everyday. That I know, I will never be alone and I will always have that one person beside me through thick and thin, I will always Praise God for this soul right here, and thank him that he has given me the responsibility of having and holding you for the rest of my days," he said.

Juancho also thanked his wife for everything, and made her a sweet promise.

"Thank you, for saying I do, trust me when I say I will do whatever it takes to always put a smile on your face," he said.

Joyce Pring and Juancho Trivino tied the knot in a beautiful garden ceremony at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza in Manila last February 9, 2020.

The couple got engaged as early as August 2019, but kept it secret until November.
