Mav Gonzales has advice for single professionals: ‘Be patient, wait for your time’

Mav Gonzales has a piece of advice for single professionals like her especially now that we’re just a few days away from Valentine’s Day.

In a media interview on Thursday, Mav recalled her Valentine’s post that went viral in 2019, where she wrote “mas mabuti ng wala kesa mali.”

“May isang Valentine’s Day na nag-post ako kasi marami nagtatanong sakin ‘bakit ka single? Parang tumatanda ka na single ka pa rin,’ ganyan,” Mav told reporters.

“So meron po akong pinost sa Instagram one time I was talking about being single, tapos ’yung huli kong sinabi, ‘mas mabuti ng wala kesa mali,’ and for some reason ang dami yatang naka-relate, sobrang daming nag-share na umabot pa sa point na nagkaroon pa ako ng web show, ’yung ‘Tita Mav Knows,’” she said.

Mav said her viral post “paved the way na magkapagbigay ako ng advice sa mga kapwa ko millennia, sa mga kagaya kong single professionals.”

“It’s OK to be single kahit nasa ganitong edad ka na and it’s ok na nagde-date mga tao sa Valentine’s Day tapos ikaw nasa bahay lang,” she said.

“Darating din ’yan just be patient, just wait for your time.”

Mav said it’s just like her being tapped to host the new GMA News program “On Record.”

“I didn’t expect, it just happened. It can happen to your love story as well. I think ’yun na ’yung pinakatrending na nangyari sa ’kin,” she said.

Mav will host “On Record” with fellow GMA News reporter Oscar Oida. The show is set to premiere on Feb. 16. Kapuso viewers can watch it every Tuesday, 11:30 p.m., on GMA-7. – RC, GMA News
