Shaira Diaz says she won't 'run away' from EA Guzman

Shaira Diaz is firm on keeping her relationship with boyfriend EA Guzman going and is in it for the long run.

While she's playing a runaway bride in the latest episode of "I Can See You," Shaira shared that she doesn’t see herself running away from EA.

“Ang dami na namin pinagdaanan, madami nang pinagsamahan so hindi ako [magiging] runaway bride sa kanya kasi masaya ako sa tao, mahal ko yung tao (We’ve been through a lot, experienced a lot so I won’t be a runaway bride to him because I’m happy and I love him)," she said in an online interview.

According to the actress, although they’ve been talking about settling down, she made it clear that she wants to prioritize her dreams for her family first.

“Alam kong medyo matagal pa kasi gusto ko pang matapos sa pag-aaral ko eh. Vocal naman ako sa kanya don and marami pa akong goals (I know that it’ll still take time because I still want to finish my studies. I’m vocal to him about it and I still have a lot of goals)," she said.

On thoughts of marriage, Shaira stated that she considers it “sacred” and should be planned out thoroughly before deciding to do it.

“Gusto ko siguradong-sigurado ako and ayoko nung pabigla-bigla lang dahil ayoko magpadala sa mga pressure sa paligid ko (I want to be very sure about it and I don’t want to do it in an instant just because I was pressured by those around me)," she said.

“Grabe ko siyang pahalagahan and malaki siyang factor sa relasyon namin ni EA (I value it a lot and it’s a big factor in our relationship)," she added.

The couple celebrated their eighth anniversary together in February.

Shaira will star as Raki in the episode “On My Way To You” with Ruru Madrid who plays Jerrick, a groom left at the altar by his bride. It will premiere on March 22. —JCB, GMA News
