Carla Abellana reveals she knew Tom Rodriguez was 'the one' right from the start

Carla Abellana revealed that she knew Tom Rodriguez was the perfect one for her right from the start.

In an interview with Nelson Canlas, Carla stated that Tom is her "answered prayer."

“It’s something na pinagdadasal [ko] kay Lord I mean lahat naman tayo hinahanap natin 'yung the one for us and once ibinigay na sa'yo, nasa harap mo na yung tao, malalaman mo na lang (It’s something I’ve been praying for to the Lord I mean we’re all looking for the one for us and once it’s been given to you, the person’s in front of you, you’ll just know),” she said.

Tom, meanwhile, stated that he is a “very lucky man” for loving Carla who always inspires him.

“You always make me strive to be a better person because I feel your love so much that it fuels me to do everything that I do,” he told her.

“It makes me feel so invigorated and be there to see us create a family and future together,” he added.

The couple first shared news of their engagement on Sunday through their Instagram accounts but revealed that they have been engaged since October last year.

According to them, they wanted to keep it private first and be “sensitive” about the world’s current struggles.

They plan to hold their classic-style Church wedding this year once the country’s current situation gets better.
