Lucy Torres pens sweet birthday greeting for Richard Gomez

Leyte 4th District Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez is thankful for her husband, Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez, as he celebrates his 55th birthday.

On Wednesday, Lucy shared a photo of themselves holding hands while strolling through a grassy field on a clear day.

“Of all the things to love about you I celebrate especially in the here and now the kind of leader that you are,” she wrote on Instagram.

According to Lucy, her husband has always been “this man/child who inspires others to dream more, do more, become more.”

She wrote: “One who has the courage to stand alone (if necessary), the strength and conviction to make the tough decisions, but one who also has the openness to listen and keep learning.”

Lucy also thanked Richard for his efforts to protect their family “in [their] little corner of the world.”

“May God cover you with His protection, and His favor chase you all, all the days of your life,” she ended the note with a heart.
