Marco Alcaraz reunites with family after recovering from COVID-19

Marco Alcaraz finally reunited with his family after recovering from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The actor on Friday revealed on their family vlog that he tested positive for the virus last month and finished his two-week quarantine on March 29.

Marco said he got inconsistent results with his swab and saliva antigen tests, but he still went through isolation.

His wife, actress Lara Quigaman, said she was thankful that Marco was asymptomatic.

“It makes you realize talaga na wala talagang pinipiling tao ’yung sakit, ’yung COVID-19,” she said.

[It really makes you realize that COVID-19 does not discriminate.]

Lara said she also got worried when one of her co-workers tested positive around the same time as Marco.

She said she was worried for their children and her senior citizen aunt who lived with them.

The actress said she took an antigen test right away and was relieved that no one else at home got sick.

She also shared that Marco called to tell her that his co-workers would go on isolation too because one of them tested positive. “So grabe talaga. Parang sabay na sabay talaga,” she said.

[It was too much. Like things are happening at the same time.].

Having a COVID-19 positive family member was hard, but Lara advised people not to be discouraged.

“COVID-19 is really very real,” she said. “It really makes you think [that you really should not] take your friends for granted, your family for granted, [because time flies fast].”

In January, Marco and Lara celebrated their 10th anniversary together. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
