Kris Bernal, Perry Choi share 'Day 1' of wedding planning, ceremony to happen this year

Kris Bernal and Perry Choi shared "Day 1" of their wedding planning.

According to a vlog post on YouTube, the ceremony set to be held this year.

In the video, Kris showed her chitchat with her wedding suppliers including Nice Print Photography's Charisse Tinio, her florist Gideon Hermosa, and her planner Kim Torres, who each gave advice and tidbits on how weddings are different now during the pandemic.

At the latter part of the video, the suppliers asked Kris why she wanted to get married this year.

Apart from sticking to the original plan, Kris said "'yung angkong and ama [grandmother and grandfather] niya [Perry] gusto pa nila maglakad, gusto pa makita mga apo sa tuhod."

At one point of their conversation, the actress admitted that among her fears about getting married is is losing showbiz projects. Kris said she really loves her job.

Charisse however reassured her that there is no truth in her fear.

"THIS IS JUST DAY 1 OF THE WEDDING PLANNING! Chikahan muna! Since you are part of my life and you are part of my journey in this Youtube Channel, I’ll share with you one of my most anticipated lifetime event preparations: My wedding with Perry," Kris wrote in the description of the YouTube video.

Kris said "the pandemic helped us realize a lot of things so we decided to scratch our pre-pandemic plans and make a plan based on the new normal."

Last February, Kris said they are aiming for lesser guests.

“The lesser the guests, the lesser the cost! Lol!” she wrote in the post. “I’ll admit it sounds pretty miserable - but don’t spend fortunes on ever more extravagant weddings. This pandemic has taught us to save more. Ours will not be as BONGGA as how I planned it pre-pandemic, we decided to allot more for the future like our house construction and businesses,” she added.

Kris and Perry Choi got engaged in February 2020 and aside from their wedding, they are currently working on their dream house. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
