Tom Rodriguez writes poem for future wife Carla Abellana
Tom Rodriguez has written a heartfelt poem to celebrate the 35th birthday of his soon-to-be-wife Carla Abellana.
Instead of a simple greeting, the “My Husband's Lover” star made a beautiful 24-line piece entitled “Ode to a Goddess.”
Tom shared the poem on Instagram, together with a gorgeous audiovisual surprise.
The full piece reads:
ODE TO A GODDESS
Like hidden petals tasting their first sunlight
My heart peels back new dimensions to you.
In time, I grow more in awe...and through it all I
Delight in the sight of a woman so true.
Serene to a fault, still like a calm river
A glance your way reflects all that is good.
But each beat of your heart serves more to deliver
A torrent of love for the voiceless you’ve cured.
I bear witness to each tear that you have shed
For those whom you could not verily save.
The sleepless nights, lost swimming in your pretty head,
And each silent battle you’ve selflessly braved.
Pray tell, just what are you incapable of?
Your heart and your strength seem to know no bounds.
Aphrodite descended in wrappings of love
Ending up gracing us all, breaking new grounds.
Thank you for sharing your light and life with me,
A mere mortal amidst a true goddess .
Still in disbelief, it seems I struggle to see
How your heart ever became mine to possess.
All I know is each fiber of my being
Is devoted to you, your love, your trust.
No matter the distance, we’ll never stop feeling
The love we have nurtured and cultured for us.
This isn’t the first time Tom wrote a poem for Carla. The Kapuso hunk dedicated a piece called “Phoenix Rising” to his then-girlfriend in 2019.
The longtime couple announced their engagement last March, with Tom popping the question previously in October.
In the caption of his birthday post, Tom post, "Happy Birthday, my love, my muse, my life. My fiancé, I dare say...Soon my WIFE! I love you."
