Even Maxine Medina's friends have a reaction to her role as Lorraine in 'First Yaya'

Maxine Medina has been so effective in her role as one of the antagonists in "First Yaya," to the point that she is receiving hate on social media.

In Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," Monday, Maxine and her co-stars Analyn Barro and Glenda Garcia addressed the audience's reactions to their characters in the Kapuso series.

The beauty queen said she simply retweets netizens' reactions, but in real life, even her friends have something to say about Lorraine.

"Every time we have a gathering, my friends say, 'Hey, Lorraine,' 'I'm Lorraine right now,'" Maxine said.

Glenda, who plays reporter Marni Tupaz, said she finds the hateful comments touching because it means that she is giving justice to her role.

She shared that even her helper at home had an encounter with someone who expressed how annoyed they are with her character.

Meanwhile, Analyn said somebody shouted at her in her condo, calling her "Gemrose." It's the name of her character, who is Yaya Melody's jealous sister.

"I always deny that I'm Gemrose because they might pick a fight with me," she said in Filipino.

"First Yaya," which stars Sanya Lopez and Gabby Concepcion, revolves around a nanny who develops a relationship with the Philippine president as she serves his family.

Now down to its last two weeks, the actresses said there are more to watch out for in their characters and how they will bring more obstacles to Yaya Melody.
