Sharon Cuneta writes appreciation post for Kiko Pangilinan: 'I am blessed to have been given a husband who is devoted to me'
Sharon Cuneta took the time to show her appreciation for husband senator Kiko Pangilinan on social media.
In a lengthy post on Instagram Wednesday, the Megastar shared a throwback photo of herself with Kiko, when they were in New York in 1997 and said being away from home "for the longest non-concert-tour time ever" made her appreciate what she usually took for granted.
"No, Kiko isn’t perfect. He is grumpy, playful, and born with an already deep and loud voice, it thunders and echoes throughout our house when he is disappointed at an employee’s inefficiency or non-performance. These, in contrast to my having been born naturally sweet, super affectionate and a 'touch' person," Sharon said in Filipino.
"But what only we his family see that people do not is just how loving he is towards us in his own way."
Sharon highlighted the great conversations she shared with her husband and said one of the things that keep their marriage strong is how much they laugh as a family.
"I am blessed to have been given a husband who is faithful, devoted to me and our family and always puts us first," she said.
She added, "Even if I want to strangle you and become homicidal because of how much you annoy me. But of course our happy moments outnumber the annoying moments!"
Sharon also thanked Kiko for the family they've made and how their children were raised with no sense of entitlement, "thanks largely" to him.
"In spite of our complicated lives owing to our respective chosen professions, we have all remained simple. You may not be a billionaire who can buy me all the Hermés bags or my dream of a pink diamond (which I wouldn’t buy even if I could afford it when it can buy me and our family too many memories of travels and time together), but you give us your ALL," Sharon wrote.
She added, "I love you with all my heart. Thank you for loving me."
Last month, Sharon flew to Los Angeles, California to make herself productive and "lick her wounds there" after she lost her role in Jo Koy's all-Filipino cast Hollywood film all because she was given a "false positive" COVID-19 test result.
Now, the actress shared that she's been staying in the US as she goes to multiple auditions. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
