Chito Miranda, Neri Naig explain why they have separate businesses, money as a married couple

Chito Miranda and Neri Naig opened up on how they handle their businesses and finances as a married couple.

In Chito's latest vlog, the couple said what works for them is to have separate ventures and have their own money individually.

Chito said some of Neri's businesses is hers alone, and some of his businesses he has are also only his.

"When it comes to businesses first, the reason why we have our own business is because we have our own styles and approach to business," he said in Filipino.

However, Chito said there are also some businesses where the two of them are also partners.

"What's good about it is we don't fight over businesses or money because we each have our own money," he said.

"We run our own businesses because really have our different styles and we also have different circle of friends and business partners," he added.

Chito said they were able to maintain their goal not to meddle with their partner's businesses. However, they still trust each other's opinions.

"It works for us because Neri takes huge risks and I am conservative because I can't mess up," he said.

Chito said he has "enough to sustain and provide for our family."

"Her money is her money, my money is our money," he said.

Neri said they respect the money each of them earned from their hard work.

Chito also said Neri is not the type who would ask him money for things she wants and would like to spend her own money for such things.

"The fact that she is shy to ask me for money, it's huge to have financial independence like that," he said.

"We want each other to succeed, we want to make things easier for each other," he added.

Neri and Chito tied the knot in 2014 and welcomed their son Miggy in 2016.

Last May, Neri announced that she is pregnant with her second child. —Jannielyn Bigtas/MGP, GMA News
