'Legal Wives' stars share thoughts on having multiple partners

Dennis Trillo will play a Muslim character in upcoming GMA series "Legal Wives." In the show, he will have three wives played by Alice Dixson, Bianca Umali, and Andrea Torres.

In an interview with GMA News Online, Monday, the stars shared their thoughts on having such a relationship in real life.

Dennis said having multiple partners will be a difficult one for him if such situation arises.

"What Ismael had gone through is really hard because he's trying to refrain from getting one jealous then that’s times three," he said in a mix of English and Filipino.

"In real life, it will be hard to have a relationship with multiple wives or partners because you have to give them equal love and attention," he added.

Alice, meanwhile, said she completely understands why Ismael had to have three wives and was actually not that worried about portraying the role.

"I didn't mind actually having Andrea and Bianca as the other wives," she said. "We'll just share Dennis 'cause sharing is caring."

"But in real life, can I do it? If the situation needs me to share my husband, I think I would."

As for Andrea, she believes that religion is a big factor when considering such.

"Muslims were prepared for this and the situation was explained to them but with us, it will be hard because we’re not used to it," she said. "I will have a hard time."

Bianca said that she isn't sure yet if she will be able to stay in a relationship with multiple partners.

"I would say that it's hard to be in a situation where I have to share the person I love," she said. "I don’t know if I can but that will be hard."

"Legal Wives," dubbed the first-ever Muslim teleserye on Philippine TV, will air on July 26.
