Jennica Garcia slams 'chismosa,' explains why she was with Alwyn Uytingco in Tanay

Jennica Garcia didn't hold back her ire when responding to a netizen who claimed to see her in Tanay with Alwyn Uytingco and their children.

In a Facebook post, the actress said she was opting to answer because it wouldn't be the last time that this could happen.

"My trip to Tanay won't be the only instance where people would see the father of my children and I in one place," she said.

"I won't even be surprised to see pictures of us in Tanay on the internet once I post this because when we were there, there were people who asked me for a photo and then there were those who came up to Alwyn as well for pictures," she added.

To those who left Jennica a comment claiming they saw Alwyn with her and her family in Tanay, her message was: "O tapos?"

"Why did it come as a surprise that my children's father and I are together in a particular place with our children?" she said. "Does that mean just because we are together then we are romantically linked?"

Jennica said they are also with her parents' family during the Tanay trip.

"Can we not thrive healthily as co-parents for our children especially since I am also with my parents family and you are just assuming?" she added in Filipino.

She clarified that it wasn't an Uytingco Family trip, and that just because a husband and wife were separated doesn't mean they couldn't be on good terms.

"We are not girlfriend and boyfriend who can cut all ties once we are separated," she said.

"We have children to think of and we can't always think about things for our own good," she added.

She also mentioned how Alwyn is also with them during their daughter Mori's birthday and said she just didn't upload pictures because she wasn't obligated to update the public nor explain herself.

Additionally, Alwyn was also the one who took their kids to her Papa Jigo's house to celebrate Alessi's birthday since she couldn't be there because of work.

"He is allowed to be with my children any time he wants and I simply requested (hindi demand) that he do not post about these things on social media to lessen the 'noise' and opinions of chismosas like you to which he respectfully agreed to," she wrote.

Should she get back together with Alwyn, Jennica said the announcement will come from her.

For now, they are "exerting all efforts to make the situation less painful for my children than it already is."

"Alwyn joining our trip to Tanay is not the first and definitely not the last since his presence is welcome in my children's life forever," she added.

In fact, should the time come that Alwyn has his own family in the future, "ano man ang mangyari, hindi ko ipagdadamot ang mga anak ko sa Tatay Alwyn nila."

"I know that this statement might be difficult to understand para sa mga taong hindi pa pamilyado but this is the reality I now face," she said.

"While Alwyn is doing his best to restore our family. I need time to heal. I need to keep my relationship to God first and foremost a top priority," she added.

She revealed that she had previously asked fans who asked for pictures not to upload the photos on social media since they are a hot topic.

"I still had to explain. It's tiring yet this is what will happen. In the end, people will make me look like a liar. I was ashamed to reject people who asked for photos but I still ended up looking like a liar," she said.

Jennica said although she is a public figure she still deserves respect from netizens especially in her own social media page.

"Me being silent does not give you the right to make assumptions about my personal life. Just because I am quiet about things doesn't mean you can abuse me," she said.

At the latter part of the post, Jennica said she is "no longer allowing your negativity to linger on my pages."

Jennica posted this statement after she posted a joke about being single during a barkada trip where everyone is in a relationship.

"My Tanay 'couple post' was supposed to be a funny one. I was laughing about it instead of crying about being a single mom and now you're turning things around," she wrote.

"You don't want people to gossip about you but when the rumors are not about you, you're comfortable," she added.

Last May, Jennica confirmed with GMA Network that she and her husband Alwyn Uytingco have separated.

In June, Alwyn expressed his hope  to bring his family with Jennica Garcia back together.

Alwyn also declared his love for Jennica by posting a photo of her with a flower bouquet and paired it with a caption that said “mahal na mahal kita.”

Jennica clarified recently that they didn’t separate because of money. She added that she “will never say anything bad about the father of my children.”
