Khalil Ramos mourns passing of pet cat Mandy: 'My heart is shattered'

Khalil Ramos is mourning the sudden passing of his beloved fur baby Mandy.

On Instagram, Thursday, the Kapuso actor shared the sad news with a series of the orange cat's photos taken while they were together.

Khalil said Mandy, who was three years old, died of leukemia viremia and a strong bacterial infection.

"My heart is shattered," he wrote. "I miss you so much already, Mandy. You were always there for me when I needed comfort."

"You knew exactly how to make me smile with your warm cuddles and kisses every night. You were the first to greet me in the morning and the last one to say good night," he added.

Khalil said he did not realize Mandy was not feeling well until it was too late and encouraged fellow cat owners to be more attentive of their fur babies' body language.

"We never knew that Mandy was going through pain cause she was so, so good at hiding it," he said. "She was playful, her appetite was okay, she was normal. One morning, hindi na lang siya makalakad and 24 hours later, we lost her."

Khalil also shared more photos and of him and Mandy together on his feed.

"I wish I was able to say goodbye. Thank you Mandy. I will forever cherish our memories together. I love you," he wrote.

"See you on  the other side, Mandy."

Khalil's girlfriend, Gabbi Garcia, also shared one of Mandy's photos on her Instagram stories.

"We love you, Mandy," she said.
