Kris Aquino to fiance Mel Sarmiento: ‘Ang tanga ko na para pakawalan pa kita’

Shortly after announcing their engagement, Kris Aquino expressed how sure she is of her fiancé, former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Mel Sarmiento.

In an Instagram video uploaded Wednesday, Kris told Mel that she really felt how sincere he was which made her realize he was deserving.

“For the longest time, [Josh] has chosen to be independent and it really mattered to me [that] the man I would end up with, will also really love Bimb because for so long, it’s just the two of us,” she said.

“The fact [that] you showed, with no hesitation, that you’re ready to step in and that you try your best to make me happy, I really feel how much you love me,” she added.

“That’s why parang ang tanga ko na ‘pag pakawalan pa kita [That’s why I would seem stupid if I let you go]," she concluded.

Meanwhile, Mel said, he knew Kris was the one when people close to him noticed how happy he is now.
