Kris Aquino wears gown on fast food date with Mel Sarmiento

Kris Aquino and her fiance Mel Sarmiento recently went on their very “first date” at a fast food restaurant.

The self-styled Queen of All Media showed up with the former DILG Secretary in a floor-length turquoise mermaid gown she had worn to a wedding beforehand.

“It was more than 3 hrs to get back kaya nag-stop sa fast food," Kris began her caption on Instagram.

"It's been years since I’ve entered that particular brand and after the pandemic, naaliw sa 'kin everyone with me especially Mel, because I said ang sarap maging normal, regular person,” she wrote.

According to Kris, members of the crew asked to take photos with them because “nobody had dine-in while wearing a gown (before).”

“Sinira ni RB Chanco because sabi nya wala raw nag da-dine in naka gown and nagpapa picture lahat ng crew,” she wrote, tagging the makeup artist.

"I said walang basagan ng trip… I just want to say thank you to the service crew at McDo Silang for having been so gracious & opening up an area for us,” she added.

"1st time Mel & I ever ate out so you can say it was our 1st date — we won’t forget you.”

Kris Aquino formally announced her engagement with Mel Sarmiento on October 24, 2021.

Kris said she and the former Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) chief had chanced upon each other because of her brother, late former president Benigno Aquino III.
