Andi Manzano shares struggle of celebrating New Year away from kids after getting exposed to COVID-19 patient

Andi Manzano shared the struggles of celebrating New Year's Eve away from her two kids after they got exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

On Instagram, Andi shared a black and white photo of her family doing a video call while isolating in separate rooms.

Andi said she tested positive on an RT-PCR test after a series of negative antigen results, while her husband GP Reyes tested negative.

"We knew it had to be a false positive. We had been doing antigen tests every day. And I even had four negative results that same day," she said.

Andi said they cancelled all their plans and went to get another RT-PCR test to be sure.

While waiting for the result, they marked the last day of 2021 physically apart from each other.

"We had been sleeping separate from the kids. GP had to isolate from me as well. I cried so much last night," Andi said.

Fortunately, Andi received a negative result on Saturday morning.

"I woke my husband up and hugged him. I crawled up to the girls' room and gave them the biggest hugs, smothered them with kisses. In tears, I thanked God. What a way to end 2021 and welcome 2022."

Before ending her post, Andi reminded her followers to "hug your family tighter." She also wished for a year "filled with love and blessings" for everyone.

Andi and GP's first daughter Olivia is six years old, while Amelia is two.
