Christian Bautista, Julie Anne San Jose share advice on how to mend a broken heart

Christian Bautista and Julie Anne San Jose are two of the country’s singers known for their romantic love songs. But how did they handle their own share of heartbreaks?

In an online interview with the press Wednesday, the Asia’s Romantic Balladeer said he let time deal with it while he worked on improving himself.

“Thank God I’m married now pero dati, time lang talaga. Minsan ang bilis pero minsan matagal for me. It depends on the season din,” Christian said.

“’Pag matagal sometimes, I bury myself with work, spending time with [loved ones], counting blessings, eating good food, traveling, and realizing that the world is big,” he added.

Likewise, Julie Anne said she also made herself a priority by exploring and accepting what happened while being surrounded by her family and friends.

“I think ang pinakamagandang gawin ay reflect and reconnect with yourself. You’ll discover yourself, feel more open, and try to put yourself out there,” she said. “Find your sense of freedom.”

The two said among the things they also did to make the pain worthwhile was to use it as inspiration for their passion, which had proven effective given their relatable songs.

“I use that pain to create something new or do something better na alam kong makakatulong sa craft ko or sa sarili ko,” Julie Anne said. “‘Pag nagsusulat ako ng mga kanta, it helps a lot.”

The Romantic Balladeer and Asia’s Limitless Star are set to release their new song “Everybody Hurts” on Jan. 21.
