Ice Seguerra mourns passing of fur baby Porky: ‘You were my daughter’

Ice Seguerra is grieving the passing of Porky, his fur baby for 13 years.

On Instagram, the singer shared the heartbreaking news with a photo of them putting Porky to rest in a bed surrounded by roses.

“Hindi ko masabing ‘run free, Porky’ kasi ‘di ka naman mahilig tumakbo. Mahilig kang matulog, kumain, tumambay. Manang-mana ka talaga sa akin,” he wrote in the caption.

“You’re the epitome of unconditional love. Pagmamahal na walang kapalit, walang expectations, walang hangganan,” he added. “You have blessed my life with so much happiness.”

He also thanked Porky for being “my confidant, best friend, constant companion, kiss-giver, baby love.”

“Your presence gave me so much peace. And so much love. Thank you for being you, for being my one and only Porky. Pahinga ka na, baby ko. No goodbyes. I love you so much.”

Just before laying Porky to rest, Ice shared a shot of her smiling purely with her eyes for the camera. The singer said it was her last before passing away.

“Salamat sa huling ngiting walang kasing tamis. Salamat sa pagmamahal mong walang kaparis. My heart is in so much pain but alam kong ayaw mong malungkot ako. So I will try my best to be okay.”

“But it's so hard to live in a world without your kisses, your presence, your love. You were not just a pet, you were my daughter. Thank you for loving me selflessly.”

Three days ago, Ice took to Instagram to share Porky’s situation, where she was seen needing an oxygen tank to breathe. He asked for prayers for her.

“One of my greatest fears is losing her. Now, it’s staring at me right in the face,” he said. “Hindi ko alam kung anong mangyayari bukas, hell, I don’t even know what will happen tonight.”

“Pero ang importante kasama niya kami,” he added. “Please continue to pray for our baby, Porky. That she can pull thru. And pray for us, especially me. That I may be able to accept what tomorrow brings.”

Porky’s been with Ice since 2008 after showing him some love at a pet store. The rest was history and the coming years were Ice’s “best years of my life.”

While there’s still pain, Ice believes that she is “in good company.” They’ve prepared a special place for her at their home.
