Alwyn Uytingco calls 12th anniversary with Jennica Garcia a miracle: ‘Muntik na magtapos sa 11th year’

Alwyn Uytingco is full of gratitude as he celebrates his 12th anniversary with wife Jennica Garcia.

After confirming their separation in May, the couple were seen getting back together in October. They have since been spending time with their children Athena Mori and Alessi.

To mark their special day, the couple went on a date at Pinto Art Museum in Antipolo.

“Alam naman nating lahat, isang milagro ang ma-celebrate ang 12th anniversary namin. Muntik na nga matapos sa 11th year (Opo, dahil po sa’kin. Ako po ang may sala. Sorry na po),” he wrote on Facebook.

“Napakahalaga sa akin o sa amin na maipagdiwang ang [anniversary] namin kasi isa siyang malaking blessing talaga,” he said. “Nagplano ako [nang] mabuti para sa araw na ’to.”

Alwyn said Jennica had always wanted to visit the museum. Before going home, they stopped by a garden that made him remember James Cameron’s “Avatar.”

Recalling that the movie was the topic of their first conversation, Alwyn said he now saw the film in a different light because of Jennica.

“May isang linya sa pelikula na, ‘I see you, Jake Sully.’ Imagine, sabihin sa’yo na nakikita ka niya. Hindi lang yung pisikal na anyo mo, pero ina-acknowledge niya yung presence, kapasidad, worth mo,” he said.

“Noong nag rewatch ako ng ‘Avatar,’ mas mabigat na sa’kin ang mga salitang ito, ‘I see you,’ na parang mas matimbang pa ito kaysa sa ‘I love you.’”

He went on to use the line to express his love for Jennica. He also thanked her for still accepting him despite his flaws.

“Nanay, salamat. Kahit ganito ako, maraming kakulangan sa’yo, maraming pagkakamali at imperfect na tao, nakikita mo pa rin ako. Salamat sa 12 years nating pagsasama. Salamat sa pagmamahal,” he said.

“I see you, Jennica. Mahal kita.”

Before getting back together, Jennica clarified that she and Alwyn did not separate because of money. He also apologized to her in an earlier Instagram post.
