Michelle Madrigal finalizes divorce from Troy Woolfolk: ‘Letting go to free myself’

Michelle Madrigal and Troy Woolfolk finalized their divorce almost a year after announcing their separation.

Sharing photos from their wedding day, Michelle made the announcement on Wednesday with a hopeful message to herself.

“An ending to this chapter,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Yesterday was supposedly a day to celebrate our union few years back. Fast forward to 2022, it’s a completely different story because this marriage is at the end of its divorce (took some time but have been legally separated). An ending to something that once gave her happiness and joy.”

Acknowledging the worries that once went through her head amid the legal battle, Michelle said she was now “allowing herself to honor her truth and core beliefs and forgiving herself for setting boundaries.”

“Yes, marriage is a lot of hard work, but both parties should be willing to evolve and change individually (do the inner work). This woman is a complete different person a year ago. She’s constantly evolving and relearning about herself,” she said.

“Today, she honors all of that. Letting go of all the negative emotions that transpired during this union and embracing the positive ones left in her heart. We are blessed to have a loving daughter that we get to share during this big transition.”

With a whole new chapter ahead of her, she had this to say: “Letting go to free myself.”

In a life update on YouTube shared last November, Michelle said she and Troy separated because “we’re not really compatible at all.” Later, she admitted that she was not ready for another serious relationship.
