William and Kate release new photos of Princess Charlotte on her 7th birthday

Princess Charlotte turns  7 today, May 2 and on social media her proud parents marked the occasion with new photos taken by the Duchess of Cambridge herself.

The photos show Princess Charlotte looking fresh-faced and enjoying the garden. One of them had her hugging her dog Orla. Both photos had her smiling widely, an adorable missing tooth making itself known.   

"Seven tomorrow," the caption simply read.  

Citing a release from Kensington Palace, Harper's Bazaar reports the photos were taken just last weekend in Norfolk. 

On Instagram, the birthday post has already generated 591K hearts as of writing.

Prince William and Kate tied the knot in 2011. They welcomed Princess Charlotte in 2015.
