Pokwang defends Lee O’Brian amid speculations, reveals truth about their split

Pokwang has defended Lee O’Brian amid speculations regarding their separation.

In an interview with Nelson Canlas on “24 Oras” Tuesday, the actress-comedian said there was no truth to what people had been saying on the internet.

“Una sa lahat, walang third party in all fairness kay Papang. Hindi rin pera. Walang ganon. Siguro baka napagod lang kami,” she said.

“Sana alam ng tao na iyong hinuhusgahan niyo na si Lee O’Brian ay mabuting tao naman po, mabuting ama. Nasasaktan lang ako do’n sa mga nababasa ko kesyo palamunin ko raw. Masipag po iyong tao.”

She added that she chose to keep their breakup to themselves until now because she had always faced problems by herself.

“Ako iyong taong lahat tinitiis ko. Hangga’t kaya ko, ako lang. Hangga’t kaya kong itago sa mga anak ko, huwag iiyak sa kanila, lahat ng burden, gusto ko ako lang,” Pokwang said while wiping tears.

“Parang nahihiya akong mandamay sa pamilya ko, which is naisip ko ngayon na kaya nga pamilya, dapat damayan.”

Pokwang confirmed earlier this week that she and Lee had broken up, saying that their separation was “okay na okay kasi maganda iyong pagtatapos.” She added that they remained friends.

The comedian broke her silence after Ogie Diaz broke the news through a vlog. He also said Pokwang and Lee were co-parenting their four-year-old daughter Malia.
