You can have a Cherie Gil movie marathon, thanks to Regal Entertainment’s YouTube channel


A number of Cherie Gil’s films have been made available for free on Regal Entertainment' YouTube channel.

A playlist titled The Life and Work of Cherie Gil has eight films featuring La Primera Contravida.

There’s the coming-of-age, Ishmael Bernal film “Ito Ba ang Ating Mga Anak,” the action flick “Magno Barumbado,” and drama film “Sugatang Puso,” which was directed by Jose Javier Reyes.

The playlist also has “Problem Child,” directed by Elwood Perez and written by Direk Joey.

More films include Bernal’s “City After Dark,” “Too Young,” directed by Peque Gallaga, Mike Relon Makiling, and Lore Reyes, and the Perez-helmed films “Sugar Daddy,” and “Beer House.”

Cherie passed away last week due to a rare form of endometrial cancer. She was 59.

The legendary actress was known for her long and multi-awarded acting career and memorable characters in over 100 films, television shows, and theater plays. — LA, GMA News
