Shaira Diaz grieves the passing of her dog Kakay: 'You'll always be our Alpha'

Shaira Diaz is mourning the death of her nine-year-old Siberian Husky dog Kakay.

On Tuesday, the Kapuso actress shared the unfortunate news, revealing that Kakay underwent surgery and passed away one week after. 

“Kakay ko, salamat dahil lumaban ka hanggang dulo,” began the "Lolong" actress. 

According to Shaira, all the doctors and nurses involved in Kakay's case were amazed by how she fought to survive until her last breath.

“Ang sakit-sakit na wala ka na ngayon sa 'min pero masaya ako na kasama mo na si Lord dyan sa heaven,” she said, dedicating her Instagram post to her dog.

“Ngayon pahinga ka na. No more pain my baby. Run free, my love,” she added.

Posting a mix of photos from happier days and Kakay's hospital stay, Shaira thanked her dog for the nine beautiful years they shared together.

“Hanggang sa muli... mahal na mahal ka namin, Kakay. Mamimiss ka namin ng sobra. You'll always be our Alpha,” Shaira ended.
