Carla Abellana does ‘bare’ shoot a year after wedding to celebrate herself

Carla Abellana is honoring and celebrating herself after all the pain and heartbreak.

On her YouTube channel, the actress shared a behind-the-scenes video of a recent photoshoot, saying it’s far different from anything she’s done. 

“We meant it to be dark, deep, messy, brave, and bare,” she said. “It fell on October 23, 2022. Exactly a year after the day I got married. Why? Simply because it was the only day everyone was available.”

“Perhaps because of a more meaningful reason, we ask? Well, only God knows, really,” she added.

Carla said she dedicated time for God to surrender control and her anxieties before getting right to it.

“I said a prayer to God before that day started and reminded myself that I was going to do it not for anybody else, but for myself. I figured it was time to honor and celebrate me.”

“I thank God for my life and the very blessing that I am alive today,” she continued.

Titled “A Day to Honor and Celebrate Me,” the video shows Carla in various sophisticated pieces like a black mesh top, a thigh-high slit dress, and a blazer. All in all, she prepared five layouts.

The actress said she can’t wait to share the photos on her Instagram account soon.

Carla also recently spoke to GMA's Nelson Canlas about the end of her marriage and dealing with the pressure of going through a breakup in the public eye. 

Carla tied the knot with actor Tom Rodriguez on October 23 last year. Months later, he announced that they have divorced.
