Bettina Carlos opens up about how her husband adopted her daughter Gummy
Bettina Carlos looked back on the blessings she and her family received this year from the Lord, and the bulk of it revolves around her two children.
A day before her 35th birthday, the content creator opened up about how her 11-year-old daughter Gummy "LEGALLY became an EDUARDO through adoption.”
Bettina explained that her husband Mikki Eduardo had to adopt Gummy, explaining, “Marriage does not make her automatically our legitimate child.”
She said that they had to go through court processes.
“Sa wakas hindi na “N/A” ang middle initial/name niya. KUMPLETO NA ANG PANGALAN NG PANGANAY KO,” Bettina said. “[Also] to legitimize her status. Hindi na siya illegitimate (sakit nito sa dibdib sabihin but it WAS the truth).”
Bettina and Mikki are also thankful for receiving another bundle of joy, baby Amina Elizabeth, after suffering a miscarriage in January.
“I consider this pregnancy a miracle because we were advised to try conceiving again only [six months] post-pelvic laparotomy—but God gave midway. We were pregnant by mid-April,” Bettina said.
“[Through] Bali Belly, a Covid episode, a slip on wet cement, sudden bleeding… through all that, she was kept intact and was delivered safely and healthy by the will of her Maker,” she said.
