Kate Middleton and Prince William show rare display of public affection at the BAFTAs

Royals, they're just like us!

Kate Middleton lightly patted Prince William's butt on the red carpet at the BAFTA Awards and people are having a ball with it.

Vogue Magazine managed to catch the moment on video and shared it on Instagram saying, "Princess Kate gave Prince William a love tap as they arrived to the 2023 #BAFTAs, proving that royals really are just like us— a regular husband and wife that sometimes like to cop a feel."

Their post has gotten more than 300K double taps and nearly 3K excited comments.

According to a report from People, this marks their first time at the award ceremony's red carpet as the Prince and Princess of Wales.

This is also their first appearance at the BAFTAs after missing the last two ceremonies.

At the event, Kate wore a flowing white Alexander McQueen gown with long black  gloves and gold Zara earrings while Prince William wore a traditional black tux.

Filipino actress Dolly de Leon failed to bring home the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress, losing out to Kerry Condon of the movie "Banshees of Inisherin."

Still, being the the first Filipina to be nominated at the BAFTAs is already "a huge honor," Dolly said.

Prince William is president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
