Ken Chan on his dad having other families: 'Masaya ako kasi mas malaki 'yung pamilya ko'

Ken Chan has opened up on his family situation on Wednesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda."

The Sparkle actor admitted that it changed him when he discovered a few years ago that his father had other families before them.

"I think I became a better person after that," Ken said. "Ako 'yung tumayo na parang tatay or padre de pamilya simula nung nawala si papa, pinili niya 'yung ibang pamilya."

Ken said he did not feel angry towards his father for his decision to choose a family that came before them.

"Siguro talagang dapat lang na piliin niya 'yung kung sino 'yung nauna sa amin dahil 'yun 'yung tama at 'yun 'yung naiintidihan ko," he said.

"Actually masaya pa ako Tito Boy kasi may mga kapatid ako sa labas. masaya ako na marami kami," he added. "Honestly, mas naging masaya ako kasi mas malaki 'yung pamilya ko."

Ken said he understands that the situation hurt his mother and there came a point that he is no longer able to talk to his father, but he does not harbor ill feelings towards him.

"Sa akin bilang isang anak, di talaga ako nagalit, di ako nakaramdam ng sama ng loob sa tatay ko."
