David Licauco on romance: ‘You sometimes look for somebody to talk to’

David Licauco sometimes craves for romance in his life.

In his cover story for Cosmopolitan Philippines, the Pambansang Ginoo opened up about a lot of things, including his love for entrepreneurship, which made him think about quitting acting, being happily single, craving romance, his time as a college athlete, and of course, his breakthrough role as Fidel in “Maria Clara at Ibarra.”

While happily single — “you get to do things on your own without having to ask permission from your significant other,” David said — the actor admitted he sometimes craves for affection.

"Sometimes, when you're tired, when you're exhausted, you sometimes look for somebody to talk to and tell them about your day," he said.

David looks like an absolute dream in his Cosmo feature, donning three different tank tops and trousers, and even sporting a beret in a few shots.

It's a full circle moment for David, who once auditioned to be a Cosmo Bachelor.

Cosmo gave him the title “Man of the Hour,” and rightly so.

Along with Barbie Forteza as Klay, he had everyone swooning as Fidel on "Maria Clara at Ibarra."

Shortly after the successful historical drama concluded on February 24, David signed off as Fidel “for now.”

He is very thankful for all the support.
