Sharon Cuneta mourns death of family dog Bea
Sharon Cuneta is mourning the death of their family dog, Bea. She was 16 years old.
On Instagram, the Megastar dedicated a pair of posts for the late beagle, the beloved companion of her daughters Frankie and Miel while they were growing up.
"I really have no words and we've all been crying since yesterday," Sharon said. "Kindly pray especially for Kakie who is so far away and just lost her first best friend."
"We will love you forever, our baby Bea... Run free now."
Sharon also shared photos of her husband, former Senator Kiko Pangilinan, hugging Bea right after her passing.
"Daddy was crying too," she said. "We love you so very much our beautiful Bea... We will never stop missing you."
According to Sharon's daughter Miel, Bea got to hear the voice of Frankie, who is currently studying in New York, before she passed.
"I remember getting scolded for playing with your ears when I was younger, but yesterday dad left one open so you could listen to ate's voice before you left," she said.
Frankie also mourned Bea with an emotional post, thanking the dog for being her best friend.
"Sixteen years is too long for someone like you and too short for someone like me but in that time you taught me a love so unconditional," she wrote on Instagram.
"I have spent the last six hours wailing atop a crumpled heap of fresh laundry in a cold city tens of thousands of arm-stretches away and I will never forgive myself for not being home to say goodbye."
In the comments, celebrities and fans expressed their condolences to Frankie, Sharon, and their family.
Sharon just came off a successful reunion concert with her ex-husband, Gabby Concepcion, dubbed "Dear Heart." They will bring the show to Cebu on Friday.
The singer and actress also has an upcoming film with Alden Richards, "Family of Two (A Mother Son Story)." It is one of the entries at this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.
