Year in Review: Celebrity weddings, engagements that made us believe in forever this 2023
There may have been a lot of breakups in 2023, but the year has also been filled with so much love, from show-stopping celebrity weddings to surprising engagement announcements.
From Glaiza De Castro's Filipino-themed second wedding, Bea Alonzo's straight-out-of-a-fairytale engagement, to Venus Raj's dreamy special day, here are celebrity weddings and engagements that made our hearts go "awww" this year.
Weddings: Glaiza De Castro and David Rainey
After tying the knot atop a mountain beside a castle on Northern Island in 2021, Glaiza De Castro and David Rainey got married for the second time in Zambales in January.
Glaiza wore a Filipiniana-inspired wedding gown accentuated with floral embroidery, while David sported a classic Barong Tagalog.
Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica
In the same month, Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica got married and used the hashtag #SoVinLoveForever.
They announced their engagement in February 2021 and then welcomed their first baby, Avianna, a month later.
Before tying the knot in Bali, Indonesia, Maja Salvador and Rambo Nunez first had an intimate civil wedding in Manila on February 14, which happens to be their fourth anniversary.
Maja wore an elegant white dress with a bow—in honor of Rambo's nickname, "Bo."

Miguel Benjamin of Ben&Ben married his girlfriend, Karelle Bulan, in February.
Miguel shared a dreamy photo from their wedding and wrote, "Sa hirap at ginhawa, lungkot at ligaya, ikaw ang kasama, ang aking mahiwaga."
Pia Wurtzbach and Jeremy Jauncey
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Jeremy Jauncey tied the knot at the private North Island in Seychelles in March.
The couple first confirmed their relationship in 2020 and got engaged in 2022.
In the same month, Ejay Falcon and Jana Roxas got married at the Enderun Tent in McKinley Hills, Taguig City.
Jana wore a Mak Tumang wedding gown creation dripping with shimmering crystals, while Ejay donned a classic Francis Libiran white suit.
Dominique Cojuangco and Michael Hearn
Gretchen Barretto's daughter, Dominique Cojuangco, married businessman Michael Hearn at the San Agustin Church in Manila, wearing the same gown as South Korean star Son Ye Jin's wedding dress.
The gown was part of Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab's Spring 2022 bridal collection and featured a square neckline fully embroidered with sequins.
Speaking of South Korean stars, actors Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In also tied the knot this year!
Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In confirmed their relationship in 2021 and announced their engagement in February.
Talk about consistency. Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde made the date July 28 even more special by tying the knot.
On the same day last year, they announced their engagement, exactly nine years after Maine posted her iconic "Arjo cutie" tweet.
Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin
Following reports of their marriage, Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin shared a sweet Instagram video from their special day.
The longtime couple got married at the Harlekin Birtok, a wedding venue on Barbara's parents property in Hungary.
Patch Magtanong and Joshua Cordoves
