Joyce Pring shares why she prefers 'experience gifts' over toys for her children

Joyce Pring and Juancho Triviño took their children out for a fun farm day!

On Instagram, Joyce shared snaps from their trip, including a photo of Juancho and their eldest son, Alonso Eliam, riding a carabao.

Joyce said that they received a voucher for a day at the fun farm as an “experience gift.”

“For birthdays and for Christmas, I’ve started to ask family and friends to give ‘experience gifts’ to the kids instead of toys,” she wrote in the caption.

She continued, “I’ve noticed how easily my children get bored of *stuff*, but when we’re outside in nature, exploring, or going on adventures, they can stay entertained without any toys just by discovering and observing with us.”

Joyce said that “experience gifts” may include trips to the beach, museum, music lessons, soccer clinic funds, “or any ‘experience’ that the gift-giver thinks could be educational or fun for the kids.”

So last Christmas, they received the fun farm day vouchers from “Lolo and G-ma.”

“We had a blast, and the experience gift idea is now awarded as the most sought-after gift for all occasions, second only to cold-hard cash for their college tuition funds,” she said.

Joyce and Juancho tied the knot in 2020. They welcomed Alonso in 2021, while their second child, Agnes Eleanor, was born on April 21, 2023.

In November, the couple announced that they had just started with the construction of their dream home.
