Lola Amour's real Lola Amor is so proud of her grandsons at their album concert
Lola Amor, the grandmother of Lola Amour members Pio and Manu Dumayas, can’t help but gush over how great her grandsons are at the band’s album concert.
In a video posted by Warner Music Philippines on Facebook, the 92-year-old Lola Amor is seen enjoying the show. She said that she is very proud of Pio and Manu.
"They are very mabait,” Lola Amor said.
She also shared this conversation she had with Pio.
“I told Pio, ‘do not announce na I’m your lola.’ ‘Why?’ sabi niya. He’s always announcing, ‘Lola Amor is the original. She’s my lola,’” Lola Amor said.
Pio serves as the band’s vocalist, whereas Manu is the former session musician. Manu will be replacing Raymond King on bass when he exits the band.
Lola Amour’s successful grand album launch happened on April 13 at the Circuit Makati Grounds, which was attended by Apos from all over the Philippines. The band had several surprises, including a witty merch booth, appearances by Dante Gulapa and PLAYERTWO, and literally making it rain in Manila.
Lola Amour performed songs from their much-awaited debut album like “Umiinit” and “Namimiss Ko Na,” as well as earlier hits like “Fallen,” “Maybe Maybe,” and of course, “Raining in Manila.”
