For Pokwang, it is not a child’s responsibility to help their parents when they get old
Pokwang took to social media to share her thoughts on the hotly debated topic about obligating children to help their parents when they get old.
According to the Sparkle star, it is not the children's responsibility to care for their aging parents.
On her Instagram stories, the Sparkle star began by asking, “Responsibilidad ba ng anak na tulungan ang kanilang magulang kapag sila ay matanda na?”
“Para sakin, NO! Basta ayusin lang nila buhay nila at itaguyod ang mga anak nila nang maayos, masaya na ako,” the commedienne wrote with a heart emoji.
Pokwang has two daughters, Ria Mae and Malia.
Ria Mae is Pokwang’s daughter from a previous relationship, and Malia is her daughter with her ex-partner Lee O’Brian, who was recently deported from the Philippines.
On Malia’s birthday last January, Pokwang said, “Walang hindi kayang gawin si mama para sa inyo ni ate.”
She often shares adorable videos of Malia, including her nilupak-making vlog and her adorable Italian lesson with Eugene Domingo.
