Juancho Triviño gets baptized

Juancho Triviño has gotten baptized.

On Instagram on Monday, the Sparkle star shared a video of his baptism from last Sunday, where he was accompanied by wife Joyce Pring and daughter Agnes Eleanor.

"I haven't been baptized yet. Kung anu-anong naiisip ko na hindrances but of course, now is the time to obey the commandment of Jesus to be baptized talaga and declare our faith," he said in the video.

Meanwhile, Joyce, who was sitting right next to him, shared her excitement and nervousness for the big day.

"Excited, that's the simplest answer that I can give. I'm very excited, it's a long time coming and it's something we've attempted to do multiple times, kinda nervous actually," she said.

Juancho also wrote in his caption that getting baptized does not mean one is assured of salvation.

"We do this for the public declaration of our IDENTITY in Christ who is the way to our salvation," he said.

"We may be fun and silly on our social media at times, but my family and I, we have a mission for what pleases God in our lifetime."

Juancho and Joyce's love story began on GMA News' morning show "Unang Hirit," where they both served as hosts.

The couple privately got married in 2019 and tied the knot a second time in a Christian garden wedding ceremony in 2020.

They welcomed their son, Alonso Eliam, in 2021 and their daughter, Agnes Eleanor, in 2023.
