Glaiza De Castro on Angelica Panganiban’s birthday: ‘Masaya pa rin ako para sa 'yo, lagi’

Angelica Panganiban turned a year older on Monday, November 4, and one of her real-life besties Glaiza De Castro took a trip down memory lane to mark her special day.

On Instagram, the Sparkle star shared some snaps of their Top 20 moments together, including their Nepal and Bhutan trip, alongside a heartfelt birthday message.

“Panibagong taon para sa 'yo [Angelica Panganiban] kaya napahalungkat tuloy ako ng mga litrato at sa dami ng nasa gallery ko, pinili ko na lang 'yung top 20 moments dahil 'yun lang 'yung in allow ni Instagram,” Glaiza began.

Looking back on their Himalayan trip, Glaiza said that it was a “core memory” of their friendship as she got to know Angelica more because of it.

“Dun kita mas nakilala at kahit na sumakit ulo mo sa 'kin, nagpapasalamat akong di pa tayo friendship over,” she wrote. “Pero tulad ng ibang pagkakaibigan, may mga times rin na sa picture at tv na lang kita nakikita. Minsan naging sticker ka pa. At least kahit papano, ramdam pa rin kita.”

Despite Angelica having her own family now and unable to travel for the meantime, Glaiza added that she will always be happy for her friend.

"Ngayon, na may sarili ka nang pamilya at di man natin magawang mag travel ulit (sa ngayon) masaya pa rin ako para sa 'yo, lagi," she said.

“At sa mga pagkakataong di mo maramdaman maging masaya, andito lang din ako para paalalahanan ka. Maligayang kaarawan amigah! Mahal kita jan!”

In response, Angelica expressed joy over Glaiza’s greeting and planned a bonding for the both of them.

“Apaka saya. Kita tayo jan this week para mag hipbam!” she wrote in the comment section.

Angelica and Glaiza have formed a close friendship together, with the former saying that the Kapuso actress raised the standard of being a best friend.

In 2023, the two besties attended The Corrs' concert together.

In January, Angelica penned a sweet birthday message for Glaiza describing her as “a one call away” friend.

Glaiza was also the matron of honor in Angelica’s Siargao wedding with husband Gregg Homan in April.
