Marian Rivera celebrates her Lola Iska's birthday
Marian Rivera and her family recently marked the birthday of her grandmother, Lola Iska!
On Instagram, the Kapuso Primetime Queen shared photos of her with the birthday girl, featuring her kids Zia and Sixto, and other loved ones.
"Happy Birthday, Nanay! Today, we celebrate you and all the love you’ve given us," she wrote.
Marian also thanked her grandmother for being their family's rock and biggest supporter.
"Wishing you a year filled with health, happiness, and cherished moments. We love you so much Nanay!" she added.
On Facebook, Marian shared a clip of Sixto giving Lola Iska a beautiful bouquet of flowers and greeting her a happy birthday.
"Awww super sweet naman ng Sixto namin," she wrote.
In a 2024 interview with Nelson Canlas for GMA Integrated News, Marian shared that she learned all of her mottos in life from her Lola Iska.
She recalled that it was her grandmother who taught her not to harbor any ill-feelings towards her family or parents.
"Palagi niya sinasabi sa akin na way, way back, wag kang magtatanim ng sama ng loob sa pamilya mo or sa mga magulang mo kasi you'll never be successful kapag may galit ka sa parents mo. Kung ano man 'yung nangyari sa mama mo at papa po, i-let go mo 'yan, ibigay mo na lang sa taas 'yan," she shared.
Her Lola Iska also taught her to never forget the people who helped her no matter what happens, and to always do good.
"As long as ginagawa mo nang tama ang mga bagay-bagay at wala kang tinatapakan, pagpapalain ka ng Panginoon. Kaya talagang pasasalamat ko kay nanay kung paano niya talaga ako pinalaki nang maayos," said Marian.
