David Licauco mourns passing of grandfather, author Jaime Licauco
Jaime Licauco, author and grandfather of David Licauco, has passed away. He was 84.
On Facebook, David dedicated a post for his lolo, sharing photos of them together.
“The wisest man I knew — always chasing greatness, always sharing his wisdom. Thank you for the life talks, the lessons, the power of your mind. I’ll hold them close, always. Rest easy, lolo,” the Sparkle star wrote.
Born on July 25, 1940, the elder Licauco was an author, lecturer, and parapsychologist.
He was a graduate of San Beda College in Manila and obtained his Master in Business Management degree from the Asian Institute of Management.
Jaime wrote 17 books and numerous articles about inner mind development, creative and intuitive management, paranormal phenomena, and Philippine mysticism. He also lectured before medical groups, including the American Academy of Family Medicine, the Philippine Society of Family Medicine, the Philippine Neurological Society, Philippine Nurses Association, the Philippine College for the Advancement of Medicine, and more.
Meanwhile, David is known for his roles in hitorical fatasy dramas, particularly "Maria Clara at Ibarra" and "Pulang Araw."
