Rikki Mae Davao gets tattoo in honor of late father Ricky Davao
Rikki Mae Davao immortalized her father, late veteran actor Ricky Davao, through a tattoo.
On Instagram, the “Widows’ War” actress revealed that she got line art of a childhood photo with Ricky on her arm.
“I miss everything about you, dad,” she wrote in her caption.
“Today, I read ‘healing is not linear.’ There are days it feels like you're still here, and there are days when I start to cry out of nowhere,” she added.
The actress said that although life without Ricky is hard, she is always grateful for the time they had together.
“This is just another way for me to honor that. I love you, papa. Enjoy all the crabs in heaven,” Rikki Mae said.
It was announced in May that Ricky passed away after facing complications related to cancer. He was 63 years old.
Tributes from fellow celebrities instantly poured in on social media.
With a career spanning over 40 years, Ricky is best known for his roles in "Abot Hanggang Sukdulan," "Saranggola," and "Ipaglaban Mo The Movie," which earned him accolades from FAMAS, Gawad Urian, and the Metro Manila Film Festival, among others.
In a previous post, Rikki Mae said, “I miss my dad. Sometimes it feels like nasa taping lang siya, busy sa pagdidirek."
Rikki Mae and her mother Jackie Lou Blanco also attended a tribute for the veteran actor and director on “TiktoClock.”
