Ricky Davao passes away

Ricky Davao has passed away. He was 63 years old.
His death was confirmed on social media by his daughter, Ara Davao, on Friday evening.
"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Ricky Davao. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children and loved ones, after bravely facing complications related to cancer," she wrote in the caption.
"For more than four decades, he dedicated his life to the craft of acting and directing. His remarkable body of work and award-winning performances have left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire. Most of all he was a loving father, brother, son, and friend."
Their family also expressed their gratitude for the prayers and support, adding that they will release details of Ricky's wake soon.
"We are deeply grateful for your prayers, love, and kind messages during this difficult time. Details about his memorial service will be shared soon."
Ricky would have turned 64 this May.
With a career spanning over 40 years, Ricky is best known for his roles in “Abot Hanggang Sukdulan,” “Saranggola,” and “Ipaglaban Mo The Movie,” which earned him accolades from FAMAS, Gawad Urian, and the Metro Manila Film Festival, among others.
He married actress Jackie Lou Blanco in 1989 but the two separated later on.
Ricky and Jackie Lou had starred together in the 2023 GMA series "Love Before Sunrise" alongside Bea Alonzo and Dennis Trillo.
They have three kids together: Kenneth, Rikki Mae, and Arabella.
Ricky also has another daughter, Justine.
