Barbie Forteza on breakup with Jak Roberto: 'Not as painful'

Barbie Forteza admitted her breakup with Jak Roberto wasn’t as painful as some people painted it to be. 

The Kapuso Primetime Princess appeared in Toni Gonzaga’s recent vlog episode, where she opened up about her breakup with the Kapuso actor earlier this year. 

When asked how she healed from their seven-year relationship, Barbie said “Masaya, smooth. Yung transition, it wasn't as painful as some people painted it to be.”

“It's not as painful. It wasn't actually,” she added.

According to Barbie, the healing process was proof of how healthy their relationship was. 

“It just goes to show how healthy the relationship was. Tiningnan namin siya as for the growth din talaga ng bawat isa,” Barbie shared, adding that their relationship had “a good run” and that they “were very happy.” 

In the interview, she also shared the lessons she learned from their relationship such as the importance of having “me time.”

“Kahit na may karelasyon ka, always make time for yourself. Always make time to spend it with yourself. Magkaroon ka ng me time,” Barbie said.

Emphasizing the importance of having “me time,” the “Beauty Empire “star shared that spending time alone allows you to build your own identity, understand yourself better outside the relationship and grow as an individual. 

Since announcing her breakup from Jak in January, Barbie has been keeping herself busy with self-care dates, bonding moments with friends and family, and working on new projects. She's even taken up running.

She is set to star in “Beauty Empire” which will have its primetime debut on July 7.
