Claudine Barretto reacts to Gerald Anderson-Julia Barretto breakup

Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto have broken up and Claudine Barretto is among the first to offer her support to Julia, her niece.

Sharing Viva Artists Agency's statement about the breakup on Facebook, Claudine said "Mama is here Juls." She followed it up with a broken heart emoji.

Julia is a talent of Viva, while Gerald, of Star Magic, which broke the news on Thursday.

According to Star Magic, the two "have mutually decided to end their relationship."

"We request the public to respect their decision and refrain from spreading false narratives," it added.

Meanwhile, Viva said, "The circulating speculations in recent weeks regarding the reason for their breakup art unfounded and baseless."

"We emphasize that only information coming directly from Julia or Gerald should be regarded as accurate, as they are the primary parties involved," Viva added, saying "any other claims are merely attempts to ride on the issue or to spread false information."

Gerald and Julia confirmed their relationship in 2021, two years after they both denied Julia's involvement in Gerald and Bea Alonzo's breakup in 2019.

In June, Gerald shut down breakup rumors with Julia, saying “we’re okay.”
