Robin Padilla on accepting BB Gandanghari as transgender woman: 'Namiss ko siya'

Robin Padilla admitted that it took him a long time to accept his sibling, BB Gandanghari, back into his life.

On Tuesday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" episode, the senator said that while it may have taken him a long time, he's glad that they are now on good terms.

"Namiss ko siya eh," he said. "Noong nag-out siya [as transgender woman], hindi na kami nag-usap," he said

“Kaya noong dumating ‘yung [time] na naging close kami ulit, ‘yun pala 'yung isang namimiss ko sa buhay ko, ‘yung relationship ko sa kaniya.”

In January, BB said Robin treats her like a younger sibling now that her personality has changed.

"Kapag nasa pila kami, ladies first. Nagpunta kami sa mosque sa Taiwan, naka-hijab ako, pumasok ako doon bilang babae and ano, nire-recognize niya lahat 'yon," she had said.

BB, formerly known as Rustom Padilla, revealed that she was gay in "Pinoy Big Brother" in 2006. Three years later, she came out as a transgender woman.

In July, BB graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Bachelor of Science degree in Entertainment Business from the Los Angeles Film School.
