K Brosas' daughter Tal defends mom from Alvin Aragon's criticism: ''Di naging masamang ina yung nanay ko'

K Brosas' daughter Tal defends mom from Alvin Aragon's criticism: ''Di naging masamang ina yung nanay ko'

Tal Brosas has spoken in defense of her mother, K Brosas, after Alvin Aragon name-dropped her among parents who support members of the LGBT+ community.

Alvin is the husband of SexBomb Girls member Izzy Trazona, who has a trans child named Sofia.

In an episode of the The Cris Raf Uncovered podcast, he criticized supportive parents of the LGBT+ community.

On Facebook, Tal addressed the criticism and firmly stood by her mom’s parenting, saying she was raised well and that her mom did nothing that would make her resent or reject her.

“Wala namang nangyari sa akin. Hindi naman ako nag-adik. Hindi naman ako nagsusugal. Hindi naman ako napariwara,” Tal said, adding that she is just living her truth.

[Nothing happened to me. I'm not a drug addict. I don't gamble. I didn't fall wayward.]

“Hindi masamang tao or hindi naging masamang ina yung nanay ko just because tinanggap niya ako bilang tomboy,” she added.

[My mom isn't a bad person, or a bad mother just because she accepted me as a tomboy.]

Tal came out as a lesbian to her mom in 2020, and the two had a tell-all vlog post so Tal could come out in the public. In their vlog post, K apologized to those who might not understand her decision and has since supported her daughter.

In defending her mom, Tal questioned the use of religion to justify condemnation, saying she has never learned from any faith that people should hate or arrogantly judge others.

“Lahat ng religion sinasabi na hindi tama ang maging mayabang, hindi tama na magpaka-morally superior ka, at hindi tama na nangha-hate ka ng kapwa mong tao dito sa mundo,” she said.

[All religion say it's not right to be arrogant, it's not right to act morally superior, and it's not right to hate.]

“You’re acting so overly religious, but you’re not being Christ-like. You’re not displaying attributes of Jesus Christ,” she said.

Tal ended her post by giving Alvin an advice: “Kung gusto mong mag-preach about the word of God, siguro ang unang-una mong gawin talaga is i-apply mo siya sa sarili mo.”

[If you want to preach about the word of God, maybe the first thing you need to do is to apply it to yourself.]

Earlier, K also addressed the issue, saying she was irritated by Alvin’s criticisms.

"Kuya, dahan-dahan din," she told Alvin. "Pwede ka magsabi ng opinyon mo, pero para idrag mo' yung name namin na akala mo ang sama sama naming magulang."

"Kuya, sana kumalma ka. At wag mo husgahan ang pagpapalaki ko sa anak ko," she added.

Alvin has been drawing online backlash following his comments on Izzy and the SexBomb Girls.

He also said about Izzy's trans child Sofia, "God will throw you to hell if you continue to do homosexuality. Mamuhay ka, and you don't want to believe in Jesus? I assure you that God will throw you to hell if you don't stop, repent, and believe in the gospel."

Sofia has responded to him, saying, "Bakit wala nang grace, wala nang compassion? Di mo kayang magbigay ng grace and compassion."

She also alleged that Alvin once choked her.
