Dennis Trillo to son Calix after UAAP Fencing Tournament victory: 'You deserve this'

Dennis Trillo proudly took to social media to celebrate his son, Calix Ho, after the young athlete clinched gold for the University of the Philippines in the UAAP Season 88 Fencing Tournament.

On Facebook, the Kapuso actor shared a video capturing the heartwarming moment of Calix’s win where he is seen kneeling down and making the sign of the cross after his victory, while Dennis and Jennylyn Mercado cheered from the audience.

“You deserve this…you made us all proud, congrats champ, we love you,” Dennis wrote in the caption.

The video also showed Calix stepping onto the highest podium to receive his medal, marking his first-place finish in the event.

Also present at the tournament held in the Makati Museum was Calix’s mom, Carlene Aguilar.

Calix has been joining fencing competitions with the support from both parents. In September 2025, Calix won first place in a fencing match with proud dad Dennis sharing his achievement on social media.
