Mark Herras says he is proud of gay parents: ‘I’m very thankful na sila ‘yung magulang ko’

Mark Herras is loud and proud of his gay parents.

On Friday's “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the actor expressed gratitude to his adoptive parents, his uncle Tito Hermie and his partner Daddy Jun.

“I’m very thankful na sila ‘yung magulang ko. Kahit i-rewind ko ‘yung buhay ko noon, hindi ko gugustuhin na maiba ang magulang ko,” he said.

According to Mark, he would not be who he is today if not for them.

“I’m OK, I’m proud, and I’m so thankful. Wala na akong gustong palitan sa buhay ko before na magulang. Gusto ko sila lang kasi kung hindi sila ang magulang ko, malamang I’m not who I am,” he said.

In a 2023 “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview, the Bad Boy of the Dance Floor shared that he understood his family situation from an early age and did not think that he should be raised by a man and a woman.

"Sabi ko nga suwerte ako, kasi I have, parang daddy ko then I have my tito, tas I have my mom tas my real dad. Ang dami kong magulang," he said.

Mark has been married to Nicole Donesa since 2021. They have two children together.

Mark rose to fame as the first Ultimate Male Survivor in GMA Network's reality talent competition show "StarStruck" in 2003.
