Who is Gio Tingson? 5 things to know about Cristine Reyes' fiance
Cristine Reyes surprised her fans on Wednesday after announcing her engagement to Gio Tingson.
While her fiancé is not an actor like her, he is a public figure and involved in political circles. Get to know him with these five facts below.
1. A public servant
Gio is a public servant. He served as chairperson of the National Youth Commission from 2014 to 2016.
Gio also worked as the Chief Political Officer of Senator Bam Aquino from 2016 to 2018, and the Chairperson of Akbayan Citizen's Action Party from 2018 to 2022.
2. A lawyer
Gio is a lawyer. In 2018, he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Arellano University School of Law. He passed the bar examinations in 2019.
3. An Atenean through and through
Gio is a True Blue, spending most of his academic life at the Ateneo de Manila University.
In 2010, he earned his undergraduate degree in philosophy with a minor in Development Management.
He also served as the President of the Ateneo Sanggunian, the university's student council in his senior year and was awarded with the Loyola Schools Award for Most Outstanding Individual for Service and Excellence.
4. A cat dad
Gio is a cat dad. He owns a British Shorthair cat named Yakult and often posts it on his Instagram account.
5. He plays basketball
