Rere Madrid and Kai Sotto's wedding: Here's a closer look

Rere Madrid and Kai Sotto surprised the public on Wednesday night as they announced they got married.

The couple held an intimate civil wedding in Cavite with Mayor Randy Salamat officiating the ceremony.

Here's a closer look at the couple's major milestone and life event.

The venue

Rere and Kai tied the knot in a garden wedding at Neri's Secret Garden in Alfonso, Cavite.

The venue was styled by acclaimed florist Gideon Hermosa, who said the event was “Proof that a civil wedding can still feel cinematic, emotional, and iconic.”

Styled in shades of white, ampitheater-like circular garden featured a soft border of tables with white table cloth and flowers on them, an aisle of white cloth, and an arch for the couple to walk under.

Swathes of white cloth draped on wires to look like large flowers served as backdrop and display on the alter.

Meanwhile, the reception was held indoors. Cocktails and food were provided by Juan Carlo The Caterer.

The guests

Spotted in attendance were the actress' older brother Ruru Madrid, his girlfriend Bianca Umali, and Parokya ni Edgar, who according to Rere had a surprise jam at the reception.

The guests were dressed in a nude palette and were given fans for the garden wedding, as seen in the wedding video uploaded by NicePrint on YouTube.

The dress

Rere donned a simple yet elegant wedding dress by Vee Tan Studios. It had a straight but loose silhouette, with shiny ivory details, as well as lace details in the back. She also accessorized with silver jewelry.

Rere then had simple makeup with wavy hair clipped at the back. She also had nude colored nails with pearls, and carried a unique white bouquet.

Meanwhile, Kai wore a simple all-white look of a long-sleeved polo shirt and trousers, contrasted with a dark belt.
